The web site for this year is now up and live. Info on the date, location, artwork is all there for your viewing pleasure. Original artwork on the site was created by Karrot Lewis, who's also putting together some wild crazy performance (leg lopping) and also going to be singing her original "bunny bunny jam jam" theme song (played many times at BJ, but never performed live).
Lots of new stuff this year, should be a bunny of a time.

Re: bunnyjam.com
Fri, March 14, 2008 - 10:31 AMWe could still use a few more volunteers to help with setup. If you've been to Bunny Jam, you know we're a very set intensive event. We're an art party after all! Get into BJ for free, and also get to hang out before and meet some very cool, very talented, fun artists from the bay area! Plus, you can play with plushies all day long! Can't beat that. And we can't make the Jam happen without you!
Send an email to peeps@bunnyjam.com
If you don't hear back from that, or already emailed that address and never heard back, it's not that we don't want your help! It's that we've been having some trouble with that email address. So maybe you could cc me when you email, or email me directly, and I'll make sure it gets to the bunny who's coordinating all the volunteers. My email address is sfaaron26@yahoo.com

Re: bunnyjam.com
Tue, March 18, 2008 - 4:05 PMI'm a little nervous about this year.
Last year I had to wait in line for an hour,
the year before that was very "clubby" feeling,
and checking out this venue,
it just doesn't feel like the old bunny jam I'm use to.
Should I be expecting the same kind of bunny jam I've always loved?
Or is this moving into more of a club like atmosphere?
Will I be getting the pat-down at the door? -

Re: bunnyjam.com
Tue, March 18, 2008 - 4:52 PMNo pat down at the door. The bouncer like to look all tough (many of them all worked in the same unit in the army), but they all soft on the inside. Strike up a conversation when them after you're in, you'll see! But they will ask for an id, cause yes, it is a club, and they have a license to protect.
One of the fun things about bunnyjam, is that we are always trying out new venues. Keeps things interesting, and forces us to always try new things. Other events that always use the same space, keep saying "oh, this worked for this space, so let's do the same thing again". With it comes changing energy.
This year, the venue is at a nightclub. To be honest, doing undergrounds is so much more fun, but finding good undergrounds these days is alot harder than it used to be. And it wouldn't be any fun for us or for you if we found the perfect venue, and got shut down when the cops showed up (some good friends threw a NYE party at the Gingerbread House in SF, cops showed up at 11:30 to chase everyone away)...
As for the crowd, I'd say show up early before they do! We did take an active approach this year to not advertise as much. Quality, not quantity! And the venue can hold more bunnies than the space we had last year, so that's a plus.
Another way to make sure we keep to our roots, or do what you think is most fun, is to get involved! We're a community based project, with lots of bunnies involved, and the end result is the collaboration of many minds. Help us to keep Bunny Jam on the right path. Or at the least, give us input as to what we could be doing better, and what you'd like to see more of. What was it about the old days that you liked better?
Oh, and we have many artists who are working around the clock to make up some new, original artwork. Expect great things from Starboy and Cary, two sculpturers from the old Manatee Love Society... New kinetic sculpture from Mosbunny. A bunny riding sculpture from Little Rabbit and Skibit. A live performance from the ECC. New fursuit by NeonBunny!
Ya, so we change. Some things could be better. I know I'm not looking forward to the $5 beers. Beer, my intoxicant of choice, and I have to pay full price at this venue... Of course, those who choose other forms of entertainment other than alcohol often have the most fun!
