Neon, I know you're looking for eclectic music but I just have to put in a word for some music that bunnies can actually hop to.
Let me say that Bunny Jam is my all-time favorite event and I love the energy and silliness. I love the insane Easter decorations, costumes and the franken-peeps. I even love the bunny bands and the silly acts.
But, after hours and hours of the silly music, my energy gets drained because I'm not dancing. Bunnies stand around and talk and then leave. I'm all dressed up in my most fabulous fur with nothing that I can hop around to. Please consider having some danceable music mixed in too.
It doesn't even have to be thumpa-thumpa (Even though thumper loves that.) A couple of years ago, Jovino Dee-jayed at a Further Confusion party and played CAKE's "Sheep Go to Heaven, Goats Go to Hell." I loved that. Maybe we can find some rockin' bunny songs like that?

Re: Music at Bunny Jam
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 7:24 PMI will pass this request on to the other bunnies.
We have many different tastes to please. While some people prefer techno music on the dance floor, others would much rather see a live band. And then others who would much rather see a theatrical performance or cabaret show than either of those.
So while other clubs might specialize and have a theme be just techno music, we've got the common theme of "bunnies" and try to cross many platforms of sound and art while sharing this common theme.
------------
Oh, and if you want to hear some good techno dance music, I'm playing on Friday (Feb 22) at Club Deco in SF. I sent an email out to another list encouraging people to come up in fursuit. I plan on playing some really good electro beats, sure to get your tail wagging. www.myspace.com/clubfsld -

Re: Music at Bunny Jam
Wed, February 20, 2008 - 7:30 PMps. I deleted a post, because I mentioned the name of a band we're hoping will play at BJ. But then realized we havn't got confirmation that they are playing, so didn't want them to think I'm using them to promote for BJ if they choose not to play.
Also added a note to pimp myself out for a gig completely unrelated to bunny jam or bunnies. (please don't shoot me for that!) -

Fri, February 29, 2008 - 9:52 AMI know you have a lot of acts to juggle. Thanks for the considering more hoppin' music.
We'll be there with our ears up and dancing feet on.
Bunny love!
